A slow growing variety of white spruce, reaching 40' in as many years. Excellent for Midwest use because it withstands wind, heat, cold drought and crowding. Does best in full sun, prefers some moistness in soils but will grow on drier sites. Excellent for windbreaks, shelterbelts, land reclamation, natural habitats and ornamental use. Hardy to zone 2. Native to Black Hills of SD

A very adaptable spruce, it has a mature height of 30' to 60' in the landscape, larger in the wild. A slow to medium grower with leaves that are 3/4" to 1 1/2" in length varying in color from grass green to a silvery blue. Prefers rich, moist soil and full sunlight. Can be used in shelterbelts, windbreaks, natural habitats and for ornamental use. Hardy to zone 2. Native to areas in the Rocky Mountains- CO, UT, NM, WY

Used for shelterbelts, hedges, windbreaks, natural habitats and mass plantings. Hardy to zone 2. Native to MN, WI, MI, New England, Canada
